My Place Hotels - Mesa offers a relatively new and modern extended-stay option with convenient access to local attractions and amenities. While guests appreciate the clean rooms and helpful staff, maintenance and cleanliness issues are consistently noted, alongside some unusual fees and a lack of certain services like free ice and pool maintenance.
Jamar was very kind and helpful. I had trouble figuring out the room door after 13 hours of driving, but he was very patient in helping me out. I enjoyed a clean room with no disturbances and great AC!
This is a very new, very hip extended stay residence. Or, for a vacation week or weekend away. From the front desk to the pool my experience was so beyond my expectations. Everyone was kind, friendly and willing to go the extra mile for their guests. Clean, well appointed suites, beautifully landscaped grounds, a pool and spa with a patio grill and fresh brewed coffee 24/7 (!) made me want to stay longer!! Candlewood Suites Mesa puts you near everything! Shopping, food, movies, hiking trails, it's all minutes away. I highly recommend!!!
4 stars for the room because it wasn't cleaned very well. . . Great fridge, a/c was quiet and efficient, quiet rooms. Bring your own pans or buy them from the hotel. They aren't stocked in the room. This is a pretty new place, we liked it and we will add it to our list of good pet friendly hotels. Also, Buy ice at a store, the water in Mesa makes subpar ice.
Staying here for an evening and was pleased with my stay. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and looked nice. The pool area was nice and relaxing, and they have a good laundry area too. I enjoy the full kitchen, and is probably for more extended stays, but still nice to have everything you need. Friendly staff and was greeted each time in passing. No breakfast so you need to bring food to cook in the kitchen or venture out. Overall very happy with the room and stay.
Nice and new! It worked perfectly for us to visit the Renaissance festival. My only thing is it's weird to not have an ice machine at ANY hotel. We turned on the ice maker in the fridge but that's not practical. Oh and no pool in Phoenix is wild.
My room was not cleaned very well, cupboards had crumbs and very dusty, the remote has something spilled on it (clearly not wiped off between stays), coffee pot in room is gross, the thermostat on the wall doesn't control the air conditioner. Pool is filled with bugs, not a big deal I can skim it... But when asking the front desk if I could use the skimmer apparently only maintenance can do that. The rooms could be nice if they were better maintained, and allowing the guests to swim without a thousand bugs and just putting a skimmer by the pool would have raised my ratings, not too crazy of thoughts.
Here's what their laundry room looks like. The management at this place is absolutely not the best . Make double sure your cards are not being double charged and hold your breathe because the lobby restroom if needed is disgusting. They expect front desk agents to do the laundry and none of them do it . It's put onto Night Auditor. I've never ever heard of this is my life . Anyway other than the laundry side show and the management passing around responsibility, its OK. . Just not recommended.
The rooms were clean, the staff friendly and the convenience of the full fridge/microwave/stove top and sink was great! The ac worked perfectly and blew ice cold the entire time we were there. They were also located right next to a gym, Mexican restaurant, trendy brunch place and gym which was a major plus. Would definitely stay there again and I highly recommend it!
I will preface this review with I was in the hotel/resort business for 13yrs. I have built hotels from the ground up and Managed multiple hotels simultaneously. With that being said I was disappointed in this property. I don’t believe it’s even a year old and the interior looks like it’s been open for years. The 3 employees that stood out with exceptional service was the 2 front desk gentleman and the maintenance guy. They were all extremely friendly and personable. I will say the view from my room was amazing but the room itself needed some work. There was no closet, but they had a basket on the floor with hangers and an iron inside of it. The bathroom floor/counters were rough looking. They looked dirty but weren’t. It was from the build out of the hotel. They only had 1 coffee pot for the entire hotel and it was broke one of the mornings we were there. They don’t serve breakfast (which is fine because they have a full kitchen) so we had to venture out to find a coffee shop. Laundry…machines were dirty inside as was the floor. The washer took 90min to wash a handful of items and the dryer shut off before the 30 min was finished. The hallway floors were very dirty. They weren’t vacuumed the whole time we were there. The parking is large and well lit and across the street there are food options. I almost never give a bad review but with the rates as they are right now due to “high season” I expected better.
Clean room, very comfy bed, the kitchenette was great! We only stayed one night but everything was to our liking. One thing to note; they charge you $3.25 for parking and put a $50 hold on your card for incidentals. That wasn’t a problem per se but it seemed strange to pay $3.25 at check- in for parking (shrug?). Breakfast is not offered but the kitchenette comes with utensils, cookware, etc. which would be convenient for anyone staying longer than one night. There is a free laundry service offered that we didn’t utilize but that seemed like a nice amenity for guests.
