Guests frequently praise the clean and spacious rooms, as well as the welcoming and accommodating staff who go above and beyond. However, multiple recent reviews cite serious operational issues, specifically long wait times and difficulties accessing the front desk due to staffing shortages.
We lived our stay here. The area is very quiet and peaceful. The mall near by via maps is closed down and It’s kinda far from the major areas like Scottsdale but our options were limited so we didn’t mind the short drive. Overall the room was clean, loved the small pool, great workout space and the lobby was very welcoming. We also appreciated the kind and helpful staff.
Aaliyah and Jackie make an excellent duo. I was genuinely excited to be in Arizona, and their strong work ethic made my arrival feel incredibly welcoming. I definitely wanted to take a moment to recognize and compliment both of them
Decent stay overall but it took over 20 minutes for me to check in. They need more staff at the front desk to help those staying here. Fine for a one night stay when you need it.
Great property! Neat and Clean. Rooms are really spacious and the quality of linen is top notch!
Our one night stay turned out to be a very poor experience. Our debit card was charged twice for a one night stay and we were not given loyalty points or an invoice. Resolving these issues has turned out to be fraught with responses from Marriott representatives that either ignore the mistakes they made or responses that simply make no sense - a tactic used to avoid the obvious.
Heard the ladies that didn’t know whether I spoke español or not. talking about too many rooms, too much, and the new lady cleaning too much and behind. They said she won’t be there long and laughed. Then I did the math. Too many rooms + not enough time = bacteria and sickness.. I won’t be coming back. Thanks cleaning ladies
Very much barely okay. They clearly don’t have enough people working here, because the desk is abandoned for long periods of time - I made the mistake of giving them some bags to hold onto, but I could not get them because the desk clerk was taking up the only stall in the bathroom for 15 minutes (why I could not use the bathroom also) and he had no backup. I do not begrudge his need for a bathroom, but not having any tag-team capacity is kind of goofy as a business model.
Love Marriott with the exception Courtyard by Marriott and their $7 bottles of water and $20 breakfast. Hate that they limit Residence Inn by Marriott (1/2 block away and hotel not full) special prices to force staying at Courtyard. Next time I will stay at a different brand hotel rather than getting ripped off at Courtyard.
Great place to stay. Everything was we wanted and very clean.
We reserved room blocks for our daughters wedding. Destin helped arrange this for our group, loved how we had the room blocks to a certain date and they didn't charge us if the other rooms weren't reserved yet they just released them. But if we needed to add some people back into the group if there were rooms available they still gave us our group rate. Everybody was so nice from the moment you walked in the door, at the Food Lounge area and out by the pool. Highly recommend. Thank you so much to all the staff at the Courtyard Phoenix Mesa.
