La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Phoenix Mesa West receives mixed guest reviews, with some praising the location and breakfast, while others report cleanliness and maintenance issues. Notably, several recent reviews highlight poor customer service from front desk staff, including rudeness, unwillingness to assist, and billing errors. Despite positive comments about the staff's friendliness and comfort, significant problems with the rooms and hotel facilities have led to disappointing stays.

The rooms are pretty nice and the location is pretty convenient. However the service and staff there are incredibly rude and unprofessional. At one point, I went in early in the morning to get employee of mine. During this time, I was not staying there as a guest although I have been a guest in the past. After I got done with work I had planned on renting a room there because it was conveniently close to my work site that I was dealing with and it would have made sure that our commute was very quick. Not only would the person at the front desk refuse to even call up to the room after I gave them the two peoples' names that were on the room but he absolutely refused to even let me stay and wait for my employee. He threatened to call the cops on me simply because I needed my employee to come downstairs. He had overslept and his phone was going to voicemail. I told him that I did not need any personal information and simply asked him to call to the room and he insisted that it was unbelievable, likely because I was a woman, that I wasn't doing something sneaky. And he said it was unbelievable that we were doing any kind of work on a Sunday. Which was weird since he was working on a Sunday. I would never stay here even if you paid me. That kind of unprofessionalism and rudeness does not belong in any kind of customer service atmosphere. If I could give this negative stars I would.

Awful. Nothing in the hotel was cleaned, the stock of everything was low. No Tp, towels, wash cloths, and no body wash. A nail file was left on the ground, showing they didnt even vacuum. The front desk was no help. I went to check out early and the lady stocking the breakfast said I couldn't, because the lady at the front desk walked off the job. There was no one else working and she didnt know how to check people out.... I fought with them later to get a refund which took about 15 emails to finally get it. Just an overall terrible experience

I only stayed for one night, but the service made such a wonderful impression! From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Grace at the front desk and her manager,(I think his name was) Reuben (apologies if I am wrong). They were both so friendly, and I loved our short conversation about my hometown and their plans to visit someday. A special shoutout to Carter, who truly went above and beyond helping me track down my Uber Eats order. Thanks to his persistence, it was found and delivered successfully! It's rare to find a team that genuinely cares and takes the time to help guests with even the little things. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and made my stay feel special. Thank you all for the great hospitality! ??

The room was clean and perfectly adequate. The hotel grounds were nicely kept with a nice outdoor area to eat your Continental breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back.

Fair pricing, solid team at desk, housekeeping. We needed more towels, and stopped a housekeeper who immediately took care of us. Hotel was clean and the room was spacious. We will return on our next visit.

Booked this hotel for a quick overnight stay while traveling from the Los Angeles area. The online photos looked great and reviews were positive, which makes the actual experience even more disappointing. I completed pre arrival check in the day before, including adding my credit card and vehicle information for parking. When we arrived, no one was at the front desk and there was no signage indicating when someone would return. After waiting, a gentleman finally appeared. He was wearing a track suit rather than a uniform, and the computer screen at the desk was so large it completely blocked him from view. He did not speak at all, simply handed me the room keys and then gave me a form requiring me to re-enter my vehicle information, which I had already completed online. When I asked why, he said they can access it online but “like to have a printed copy too.” If that’s the case, perhaps the hotel should print it themselves. At this point, I was already frustrated. The elevator was extremely slow and felt rickety, which didn’t help the overall impression. At first glance, the room looked okay. Then we looked closer. • Mold under the bathroom sink • A hole in the wall • Bathroom light that barely turns on (See photos.) The biggest disappointment: the spa was completely drained and roped off. This was an amenity I specifically planned to use. No notice was given prior to arrival. Had I known, I would have canceled and booked elsewhere. Finding out after check in was frustrating, to say the least. If we didn’t have a five hour drive home, we would have left immediately. We didn’t bother with the free breakfast. The only positive is the location — the hotel sits between a police station and a fire station, so at least help is nearby if the building gives up entirely. It doesn’t look run down from the outside, which makes the interior issues even more surprising. Will not return. Will not recommend.

Loved stay, clean and the staff was very helpful. Only issue was the elevator took soooo long to go up and down. Lol but not a big deal. I feel if thats the only issue then they did great. We appreciate the stay!!

Julie was very helpful. She already had her coat on and bag over her shoulder, but when she saw I needed to pay for something came back logged back into the computer and processed my transaction just to help get me through sooner. She was very, very cordial the second night when I needed a plastic fork, she helped me find one. Wonderful staff, thank you so much!!

We only stayed for one night, but I was honestly surprised by how great this hotel was, especially for about $70 a night. This is easily the best hotel we’ve stayed in within this price range. The room was big and had two queen beds that were incredibly comfortable. The sheets were wide, the pillows were soft, and the whole bed setup made for such a cozy night’s sleep that I almost slept through breakfast. And speaking of breakfast — it was amazing! They had eggs, sausage, different kinds of bread, cream cheese, apples, jello, several types of cereal, juice, coffee, tea, and of course the make-your-own waffles. So much variety for a budget hotel. The lady at the reception was very friendly and welcoming. Parking was super easy — the lot is big, so finding a spot isn’t a problem at all. The room itself had everything we needed: a microwave, fridge, and plenty of space. The furniture isn’t brand new, but it doesn’t take away from the comfort or functionality of the room. And one thing that really stood out — this hotel has more plugs than any place I’ve ever stayed. There were four outlets in the bathroom, more above the table, and even one in the microwave. You can charge all your devices at once without any problem, which was such a nice surprise. Overall, this hotel is a great find. For the price, the service, room, and breakfast were all fantastic. Definitely a full 5-star stay from me.

It was our first time staying in La Quinta Inn, we normally wouldn't but the reviews were above average so we did. We loved it! The staff were wonderful, place was clean and well decorated. I love the space outside and most especially, they allow dogs. The king bed room was big and the bed was comfy. The only thing for me was ac in our room made a weird sound if i set it low and shower only had 3 water settings (that would go to my ear since im not tall).
