The DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix Mesa generally receives positive feedback, particularly regarding its convenient location near the airport and Topgolf, and friendly staff. However, recurring concerns include slow elevators, issues with room cleanliness (particularly in older rooms), and inconsistencies with the food and beverage credit policy, as well as plumbing issues. Recent reviews highlight exceptional service from specific employees like Fabian and Amy Ortiz.

My visit started out poorly as I checked in, and was told that I had been upgraded, which was expected. When I got to the room, it was not an upgrade at all, it was the exact room type that I had paid for, not to mention that there were no complimentary water bottles as there should be. A short bit later I went back to the front desk, and a different employee was there. I let him (Fabian) know the situation and he very quickly was able to take care of me as a long-time diamond member should be. He got me switched over to one of my preferred upgraded rooms at this hotel, and apologized for the earlier check-in interaction. I appreciate his proper handling of the situation and his professionalism will ensure that I keep staying at this property.

The rooms were very spacious and clean. Right off the freeway. Made it easy to get to other restaurants and businesses with ease. Love that they have a quiet time in the late evening so no people can go yelling and screaming by late at night. They are next to Top golf/golf course. They have signs clearly marking where could be a danger to your car.. I loved that since was in a rental and couldn't chance that during a vacation. Great service so far. Thank you for the stay to recharge on the way to our destination.

Although I did not personally stay at this hotel, I wanted to leave a review because my experience working with the staff during the WAC Tournament this past week was outstanding. The front desk staff were incredible to work with — always friendly, professional, and eager to help. I was arriving throughout the day and evening with laundry deliveries at all hours, and the team consistently went above and beyond to accommodate me. They would open the doors after hours to allow access, and even the 3rd shift security guard stepped in to help one evening. The front desk employees were also gracious enough to offer space behind the desk for laundry bags so we wouldn't clutter up their space. Their willingness to help and positive attitudes made a very busy event run much smoother. I truly appreciated the kindness, flexibility, and professionalism shown by the entire staff. It was an overall very positive experience. You know who you are...THANK YOU

Overall it was a good stay! It was conveniently located close to Phoenix airport and a great place to have meetings. Also loved the complimentary cookies. However, the housekeeping service could be better. We expected them to clean our rooms when I would step out for my conferences but it turns out no action was taken so that part could be better.

I stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix Mesa during a weekend trip to Arizona for a baseball tournament, and overall it turned out to be a much more relaxing stay than I expected. After driving most of the afternoon in Phoenix traffic, walking into the cool lobby and getting the warm chocolate chip cookie at check-in honestly felt like the perfect reset. It sounds small, but after traveling all day, that cookie somehow made the place immediately feel welcoming. The hotel itself has this large open atrium in the middle that gives it more personality than a typical chain hotel. My room was clean, quiet, and larger than expected. I especially liked having a small balcony overlooking the courtyard area because it made the stay feel less boxed in. The bed was comfortable enough that I actually slept through the night, which rarely happens for me in hotels. The property is also known for amenities like the outdoor pool, fitness center, and Topgolf Swing Suite inside the hotel. One thing I appreciated was the location. There were restaurants, stores, and gas stations nearby, and getting on the highway was easy without feeling stuck in downtown traffic. We also spent some time by the pool one evening, and it stayed surprisingly peaceful even with several families staying there. The only frustrating part was that the elevators were pretty slow during busy hours, especially in the morning. I also noticed the on-site restaurant service moved a little slower than expected when it got crowded, which some guests online have mentioned too. Still, the staff stayed friendly throughout the trip, and the overall atmosphere felt comfortable and easygoing. For a 3-star hotel, DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix Mesa felt clean, convenient, and much more enjoyable than a basic overnight stay.

As someone who travels a lot for work and a Hilton Diamond, I decided to start leaving reviews on the properties I stay at. In general, I enjoyed my stay at the DoubleTree Mesa. I will share some of my thoughts below. Good Points -Very friendly and helpful staff -Nice lobby and common areas -Good food at hotel restaurant (I had the Doubletree Double Burger and Strawberry Fields Salad) -Nice proximity to PHX Airport Shortcomings (IMO) -My room, while nice and a junior suite, was facing a highway and the traffic noise was very audible, even during the night. The window could use double pane glass or some form of additional soundproofing. Additionally, the air conditioner was loud. -It was a bit difficult to use my food and beverage credit. The hotel bar/restaurant was closed 3 of the evenings I was there due to a conference and the breakfast place/coffee shop closed early. You could not use your credit at the pantry. Also, I have an issue when my food and beverage credit is not applied to tips for the staff. This prevents us from using our credit to tip for breakfast or at the restaurant. At the majority of other Doubletree properties, your credit can be used for tips and at the pantry. In conclusion, overall, my stay at the Doubletree Mesa was pleasant. The staff is super friendly & helpful and the common areas of the hotel are very nice. My room was also nice, though starting starting to show it’s age and could use some TLC. Also the food and beverage credit policy should be revisited.

The room was not cleaned very well. Not disgusting but definitely needed better attention to detail. Also, the head of the beds are right underneath the intake and AC so it is loud when it runs and then blasts you in the face with air which was disturbing to sleep with. Otherwise the staff were nice and it's in a great location.

It's probably one of the nicest places to stay in that part of town, but it's showing its age. The room was clean (mostly - the walls were a little grimy in the bathroom, and all the common areas look and smell old), everything worked, the bed was comfortable, and service was good. There's no breakfast included in the price, but there are plenty of local dining options nearby. If you're visiting downtown Mesa, AZ, it's a good option.
