The DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix Mesa receives generally positive reviews, highlighting friendly staff, convenient location near the airport, and spacious rooms. However, recent reviews have raised concerns about room cleanliness, particularly in bathrooms, and inconsistent availability of hotel amenities such as the bar and breakfast service. Some guests have noted aging infrastructure and noise issues in certain rooms.
Friendly front desk workers, and they place is amazing! I have a balcony jr suite and I love it. I will definitely be coming back again. Tomorrow we will enjoy the amenities like the pool.
As someone who travels a lot for work and a Hilton Diamond, I decided to start leaving reviews on the properties I stay at. In general, I enjoyed my stay at the DoubleTree Mesa. I will share some of my thoughts below. Good Points -Very friendly and helpful staff -Nice lobby and common areas -Good food at hotel restaurant (I had the Doubletree Double Burger and Strawberry Fields Salad) -Nice proximity to PHX Airport Shortcomings (IMO) -My room, while nice and a junior suite, was facing a highway and the traffic noise was very audible, even during the night. The window could use double pane glass or some form of additional soundproofing. Additionally, the air conditioner was loud. -It was a bit difficult to use my food and beverage credit. The hotel bar/restaurant was closed 3 of the evenings I was there due to a conference and the breakfast place/coffee shop closed early. You could not use your credit at the pantry. Also, I have an issue when my food and beverage credit is not applied to tips for the staff. This prevents us from using our credit to tip for breakfast or at the restaurant. At the majority of other Doubletree properties, your credit can be used for tips and at the pantry. In conclusion, overall, my stay at the Doubletree Mesa was pleasant. The staff is super friendly & helpful and the common areas of the hotel are very nice. My room was also nice, though starting starting to show it’s age and could use some TLC. Also the food and beverage credit policy should be revisited.
Wonderful hotel! Friendly staff, big rooms, great breakfast, HUUUUGE lobby/atrium area that is great for groups! So many good places to eat that are close by and the location is awesome, very convenient indeed. Would def stay here again if in the area!!
The room was not cleaned very well. Not disgusting but definitely needed better attention to detail. Also, the head of the beds are right underneath the intake and AC so it is loud when it runs and then blasts you in the face with air which was disturbing to sleep with. Otherwise the staff were nice and it's in a great location.
It's probably one of the nicest places to stay in that part of town, but it's showing its age. The room was clean (mostly - the walls were a little grimy in the bathroom, and all the common areas look and smell old), everything worked, the bed was comfortable, and service was good. There's no breakfast included in the price, but there are plenty of local dining options nearby. If you're visiting downtown Mesa, AZ, it's a good option.
We needed a place that could accommodate our daughter's graduation ? party ? as well as reasonably priced yet spacious rooms. I had called several locations (1 never return my call, 2 had called back 3 & 5 days later) while others either wanted far too much for the venue, rooms or both. Amy Ortiz put everyone of them to shame. Not just with pricing, option, but with exceptional customer service, accommodations, and her expertise guided us to the Executive lounge, which was an absolute success. From calling regarding our rooms locations, to getting checked in w/ amazing staff like Steve at the front desk. Rooms were very spacious, quiet, modern, and comfortable. Made our 4 days stay in multiple rooms 1 more thing to enjoy on this trip. Parking was reasonable. Located near major freeways to get you going wherever you need to escape to. We will definitely be staying here again in the near future.
Had a company Holiday party here, it was great. The food was so good. Amy Ortiz the catering sales manager was a life saver while coordinating. Myles, Judy and the rest of the staff that worked during the party were so helpful and gave exceptional customer service.
I really enjoyed my extended stay at the Doubletree. The staff really pays attention to your needs and always are willing to help. Antionette and her front desk staff are great. The breakfast crew in the mornings work their butts off and treated me like family. I would like to give a shout-out to Cecilia. She not only does an amazing job every day making the bedrooms look beautiful, but she also went above and beyond her duties by preparing an incredible bed for my son. My wife came for a visit had improvised a small bed for him using the hotel chairs, and Cecilia took it upon herself to bring a small portable bed and set it up beautifully. When we came back from dinner, we were greeted with this wonderful surprise. It truly made our day. Thank you, Cecilia, for your kindness and exceptional care and thank you Doubletree Mesa.
I enjoyed my stay, and was pleasantly surprised by the service. I was upgraded to the Sedona suite which was like a small apartment. I also enjoyed seeing my name on a welcome sign on both flat screen television. Twin bathroom sinks a shower an jacuzzi tub. Leather couches and a pleasant dinner table. There was also a comfortable patio with 2 chairs for sitting.
Great location and an even friendlier staff! I was welcomed as soon as I arrived, and as with most Hilton properties, check-in was a breeze. This is why I stick with Hilton wherever I travel. The room was clean, well-maintained, and smelled great. The bed was comfortable, and I had a great night’s sleep. I only stayed for one night but definitely took advantage of the super-convenient bar — the bartender was excellent! The hotel was packed that night. I heard there was a college football game the next morning, so that might explain the crowd. I didn’t get to try any of their other amenities this time, but I’ll definitely give the restaurant a shot during my next visit. I don't understand the negative reviews here, but to each their own.
