The Azure Hotel receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its affordability, cleanliness, and comfortable rooms, particularly the hot tub and spaciousness. However, recurring concerns include inconsistent service, issues with staff etiquette, bed bug infestations, and problems with room maintenance and noise levels. Recent reviews highlight the value proposition but warn of potential frustrations.
This hotel is an awesome affordable stay. It’s not the nicest hotel as it is a bit dated but they do a great job of cleaning and the staff is super friendly. They used to serve breakfast and recently changed that but I would definitely recommend this hotel to someone stuck in town or even someone looking for a weekend staycation away from the kids .
Update: I will say after a few days of being at the hotel the staff and team has been great and super helpful. The first interaction wasn’t great but i do appreciate everything else. My daughter especially has found the visit fun and loves the rooms.
3 night stay- ALL the night staff needs business etiquette/ customer service training. From being slovenly dressed, to no eye contact, yawning, belching & making you feel like you are imposing on them from resuming their nap, unhelpful. If it was a show it would be comical? unbelievable! & It was only 5pm when we arrived! The rooms were clean, but had tired appearance, but the price of the room was affordable& probably to be expected. I saw the cleaning staff working hard every day& that gave me peace about cleanliness as I continued my stay. I reported a leaking toilet& although they did change me to another room, i ran myself silly having to go down& get keys, back up to gather my things, haul to new room, then return keys, & by time I was done, feeling exhausted& low blood sugar, they had put away the Continental breakfast, that wasn't much of a breakfast anyhow! Such small space& limited menu. Hotel should have some gift cards available to some local restaurants in the event some inconvenience like this happens. Very frustrating& the lady at front desk refers to me as, 'honey', & 'sweetheart'. In the midst of my frustration that comes off as condescending; Bad business practice. Shout out to the ppl who keep hotel clean, that was really the only thing adequate & really that's what matters the most! Pool was very clean, too! My feedback for customer service improvement! Buy new towels, bed sheets, & new paint job. Get new night staff! or train adequately.
Our experience was great! Room was luxurious, super clean. We appreciated how much space was in there. Only downfall was the breakfast- wish it had more variety.. front desk associates were friendly.
On Main Street in Mesa which can be pretty getto. However, the rooms and grounds are super clean, newer/updated. Feels like a 5 star place but the location and 100 deposit knocks it a few pegs. Reasonable rates. Didn't see any riffraff hanging around..Pleasant Stay
Please beware: Bed bug issue! We booked a room at this location and went inside to unpack. We were in the room probably no more than 15 minutes when we pulled back the covers of the bed and saw a bed bug scurrying across it. We squished the bug and immediately went to the front desk to show them. We asked to leave and for a refund due to the room having bed bugs and they told us they would discuss it with their manager Angel and to call the next day. They are still refusing to refund the room fee even though we left the hotel immediately, did not stay more than 15 minutes and handed them the BED BUG that we found in their room (which was a jetted jacuzzi king bed suite) We chose this property due to its whirl pool option and good reviews. We are horrified at the fact that we found bed bugs in their room and that they are refusing to refund the cost of the room to us. We had to purchase an additional room at another property (which we checked thoroughly and was very clean! We used the Best Western Plus Sundial and their king bed jetted jacuzzi suite was wonderful, clean and their customer service was amazing. Please consider using them instead.) We understand that things happen and bed bugs and pests can be a problem at hotels. We discussed this privately with the hotel to give them the chance to rectify it, but the lack of a refund for the fact that they had a bed bug crawling across their sheet is unacceptable.
I wasn’t sure what to expect because it’s not a main chain hotel. This was an enjoyable treasure. Great location for our needs with easy access to where we needed to go. The rooms seemed fairly soundproof - I never really heard the other guests. Loved the jacuzzi tub too!
BEWARE! This is the worst place you could ever stay at. I was booked for 2 nights. Around 9 pm it was quiet. Went to sleep. Then the people above me came in, right as I dozed off at 9:30 pm. They started banging doors, and stomping feet, back and forth across the floor. I tried to go back to sleep to no avail. At 11:00 pm, I called the front desk, they went and talked to them, and it didn’t stop. So at 11:30 they moved me upstairs to a room that is right by the light rail, and Main Street. It was so loud, and still no sleep. Then on top of that to make matters worse, the smoke detector kept going off. What a nightmare. Finally called the front desk at 6:30 am. Told them what was going on, and they refused to move me, and give me a refund. I really wanted to go somewhere else. Anywhere is better than the Azure Hotel. So I have to endure another sleepless night, and you can’t sleep during the day because it’s so loud also. Shame on them. I’m by myself didn’t make a mess. The 2nd room all I did was sleep in the bed. They could have moved me without a problem. I have a video but it won’t let me share it. Shame on them.
Staff was super friendly. Place was clean. No issues with access card. Breakfast was minimal, but at least the coffee was decent! Good vale for the money, would stay again.
Excellent stay for visiting Nile Theater. Location and cleanliness, very spacious rooms. Staff are very friendly and professional. Breakfast options were limited but enough for the quick and go and well maintained. I will come back again.
